My name is Everlyne, a Mathere resident who is a member of SHOFCO. I am a single ,mother of two and in all my life here in Mathare, I have been working hard on casual labor to ensure that I feed my family.. Since the outbreak of COVID-19, my family has really been affected a lot. We have been fighting with my landlord who has been struggling to lock us out of the house, looking for food has really been hard since we are no longer going out for work. Most of the places where we were working are no longer welcoming us in fear of infection of COVID-19. . As per my plan, I will spend this money to start a small business. I will be hawking boiled eggs in the neighborhood. This will at least enable me to earn my daily income and at least avail food to my children every day..
